INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD.
Milk supply
At The end of the year there were 9 premises registered as
dairies. In addition, 42 persons were registered to sell milk in
sealed containers only.
The analysis of 60 informal samples obtained during the year
show the foilowing average:-
Fat 3.65%
Solids not fat 8.85%
The following licenses were issued under the Milk (Special
Designations) Orders:-

Meat.
Most of the meat sold in the district is obtained from the
London Meat Market.
Visits were paid to meat purveyors' premises from time to
time and attention drawn to the requirements of the Public Health
(Meat) Pegulations.
Slaughterhouses.
There weire two registered slaughterhouses in the district and
these were visited on 344 occasions to inspect carcases therein.
