In addition, 44 persons are registered to sell milk in
sealed containers only. Fourteen dairymen, with dairies outside
the district, who sell milk in Penge, are also registered.
There are no cowsheds in the district.

The analyses of 66 informal samples obtained during the year show the following average:—

Fat3.65%
Solids not fat8.82%

Four samples were obtained and bacteriologically
examined. One of the samples, taken on arrival at a local dairy,
was not satisfactory and the local authority of the district
where the milk was produced was informed.
