In one of the deaths from other forms of tuberculosis of
cases not notified, the cause of death was certified after postmortem
examination.
Cases of tuberculosis are periodically visited and disinfection
is carried out as occasion requires.
During the year 76 specimens of sputum were sent to the
Kent County Laboratory, Maidstone, to be examined for
tubercle bacillus ; 21 of these were positive.
