The Sale of Food and Drugs Acts are administered
by the Kent County Council.
The Dairies, Cowsheds and Milkshops have been
systematically inspected. Their condition is fairly satisfactory
and conform to our Bye-laws.
Bakehouses, Slaughterhouses, Factories and Workshops
have also been inspected.
Samples of milk have been periodicallj' taken (informal
and formal) and duly analysed, a record of which
appears, together with a resume of various inspections in the
Sanitary Inspector's Report.
I have made several inspections under the Housing
Acts with the Sanitary Inspector, prior to the Council proceeding
to execute work owing to the owners' default.
Tables referring to the vital statistics and infectious
diseases are appended.
In conclusion, I have again to express my sincere
thanks to Miss Fannie Moore and other Lady helpers at the
Welfare Centre for their very valuable assistance. Also to
the Chairman and Members of the Maternity and Child
Welfare and Public Health Committees for their cordial support
and help during the year.
Mr. H. J. Perrett the Sanitary Inspector who is also
Financial Officer to the Welfare Centre has always been
most helpful and I have to express my thanks to him and
also to the Public Health Staff' in general.
I am, Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,
ROBERT WILKINSON.
