Special Samples of Milk, Ice Cream, Water.
In addition to the samples previously mentioned, a further 147
samples were taken for bacteriological and pathological examination
and other special tests as under:—

Ice Cream.
At the end of the year, 184 premises were registered for the
storage of, and sale of ice cream, but none for the manufacture of
this commodity. Eighty-one inspections were made and conditions
were found to be satisfactory.
Thirty-seven samples were sent for bacteriological and pathological
examination.
The following is an analysis of the results obtained during the
past three years:—

No pathogenic organisms were found in any of the 37 samples
and the bacteriological grading was highly satisfactory.
