Butchers' Shops.
Ninety-one detailed inspections were made of the 37 retail
butchers' shops in the area.
The butchers work in close collaboration with the Public
Health Department and frequently call upon our services in
connection with carcase meat which they suspect is unsound.
In no case was there any evidence of unsound meat being
exposed for sale.
Bakehouses.
Twenty-five inspections were made of the thirteen premises
during the year, and no defects were found.
Merchandise Marks Act.
Eighteen visits were paid to premises during the year in
connection with this Act. No contraventions were detected.
Game Act, 1831.
Three licences were renewed during the year.
