Orpington and District Tuberculosis Care Committee.
The St. John Ambulance Brigade.
Orpington Old People's Welfare Committee.
Old People's Clubs.
I reported fairly fully on the services of these voluntary
Committees in 1950 and I have nothing useful to add, except that
they are doing very valuable work for the health and welfare
of the district. The extension of the services to the aged is
becoming year by year more necessary, especially as it has been
recorded that there are at present 13% of people who are of
pensionable age and that, in thirty years time if present
tendencies continue, the percentage will be 20.
