Day Nurseries.
At the time of writing, it is the intention of the County
Council to cease to provide a Day Nursery Service. During the
year under review, there was one Day Nursery in the area at
Scad's Hill House, Orpington.
Domestic Help Service.

Diseases of Animals Acts.
The County Council have an Officer stationed in Orpington
who carries out the functions of this service.
4. Services Rendered by Voluntary Agencies.
Meals on Wheels Service.
This service is organised and operated entirely by the W.V.S.
Since its inception in October, 1950, the number of meals provided
steadily increased during 1951 from twenty to thirty per
week, the area extending at the same time to include St. Mary
Cray, Orpington, Petts Wood, Farnborough, Cudham, Green
Street Green and Knockholt.
The meals are cooked at The Rookery, every Thursday, and
for a charge of one shilling are delivered to old and infirm people.
Medical Loan Depots.
Applications for the loan of nursing requisites, which are
available for Orpington residents, should be made to :—
