Administration of Gas and Air Analgesia.
Of the Council's two Municipal Midwives directly employed,
all are in possession of the necessary certificate for administration
of gas and air analgesia.
The following list shows the number of domiciliary confinements
attended by midwives (not including cases attended as maternity
nurses) during the year and the number of such cases to whom
gas and air analgesia was administered:—

Maternity Sets.
During 1951 maternity sets were issued to 142 expectant
mothers who were having domiciliary confinement.
