CHILD GUIDANCE.
Report of the Educational Psychologist to the Forest and
Leyton Divisions (Miss M. Marshall), 1951.
During the year 1951 the Educational Psychologist has continued
to develop her work along the lines already established.
Visits to schools were made daily for consultation with the teachers
on the problems of individual children, and remedial teaching of
backward children has been continued at the Child Guidance Clinic.
Owing to an absence through illness of some seven weeks in the early
part of the year, the actual number of individual children seen is
somewhat less this year, in spite of the fact that the school population
in this combined area has risen to over 32,000.
The total number of children seen by the Educational Psychologist
during the year and given individual tests of intelligence and
attainments was 256. These numbers were divided as follows
amongst the different school departments.

officers, parents, juvenile employment officers, etc.

were seen, and a larger number of children of superior intelligence.
