HANDICAPPED PUPILS.
Medical Examinations.
During the year, some 123 children were referred for special
medical examination.
As the result of examination these 123 children were classified
as follows :—
Deaf 1
Delicate 89
Educationally sub-normal 25
Physically handicapped 1
Unfit for education within the school system 7

In addition to the above, 27 children were examined because
of difficulties at home or school, and were ascertained as set out
below:
Behaviour problems 15
Dull and backward 10
Backward only 2

Several of these children are being referred to the Child
Guidance Clinic for appropriate treatment.
Special School for Educationally Sub-Normal Pupils.
Admitted 48

Physically Handicapped Pupils.
