Report by the Authority's Senior Dental Officer
(A. E. Hall, L.D.S.)
General.
Conditions during the early part of the year under review were
still abnormal due to enemy action, and the continued evacuation
of the school children ; but with the end of the war and the return
of many of the children conditions and attendances rapidly improved.
The acceptance of treatment rate over the whole year was
70.1 per cent., an increase over the previous year of 9 per cent.
It was noticed that a big proportion of the regular attendants
also accepted the offer of evacuation.
The dental staff consists of two dental surgeons and two
dental attendants, being one dental surgeon and one dental attendant
short by comparison with the immediate pre-war period.
