Report by the Authority's Senior Dental Officer
(A. E. Hall, L.D.S.)
General.
There was some disturbance of the regular routine work of
the dental surgeries during the second half of 1944, due to a return
of enemy action in the form of flying bombs from 15th June onwards,
accompanied by an increase in the number of children leaving

schools to cover the annual dental inspection.
It was pleasing, and somewhat surprising, to note that the
decrease in the acceptance of treatment rate was only 0.96 per cent.
Of the two dental surgeries in operation at the present time,
that at Leyton Green was damaged by blast on two occasions
during the year, resulting in it being out of operation from Monday,
