Squint Clinic.
Report by Orthoptist (Miss G. Montague Smith).
It is impossible to give the usual report this year owing to so
much evacuation.
Many children have had their treatment curtailed, and clinics
also have had to be cut down during periods of severe bombing.
At present the clinics are working again to full capacity,
although there are still many children evacuated and therefore
not getting regular treatment.
It cannot be too highly stressed that one of the essential
factors in Orthoptics, i.e., continuity of treatment, is being very
seriously affected at the present time.
I would like to take this opportunity of thanking Mr. Cardell
for his great help and interest in the Orthoptic Clinic at all times,
and his kind co-operation will be greatly missed.
