Report by Dr. Anne S. Clark, M.B., Ch.B.
During the year 12 sessions of the Post-Natal and Gynaecological
Clinic were held. The number of new patients who attended
was 91, out of 166 who received appointments to attend (= 54.82
per cent.). Of these, 66 were post-natal (i.e., they had had
confinements within the previous three months); and 25 were
gynaecological.
The disposal of these cases was as follows:—
Discharged after one attendance 41
Re-attended for examination and treatment 50
The total number of attendances was 156. The average
attendance per session was 13.00—with a maximum of 19 and
a minimum of 5.
Free medical prescriptions were issued in 41 cases at a total
cost of £8 lis. 1d.; and 16 prescriptions were issued for payment
by the patients.
