PROVISION OF MEALS.

The above figures relate to the financial year ended 31st March,
1942.
During the year self-contained canteens were installed at
Capworth Street and Trumpington Road Schools to provide dinners
for approximately 150 and 100 children respectively. These two
Canteens opened on the 10th November, 1941, and at the end of the
year were serving approximately 120 and 75 dinners per day
respectively.
At the beginning of December, 1941, plans were commenced
for the provision of a Canteen at every school in the Borough, with
a view to operating a full scheme during 1942.
