REPORT BY THE AUTHORITY'S SENIOR DENTAL
OFFICER (A. E. HALL, L.D.S.)
During the year 1940 dental inspection and treatment have been
carried out in the Borough of Leyton closely following the Board
of Education Circular No. 1523 of 21st August, 1940.
From the beginning of the year until the end of March there
was one Dental Officer working full-time within the Borough and
one full-time in Essex with our evacuees. From April until June
the officer who had worked full time in Essex divided his time
equally between Essex and Leyton, and from June onwards almost
full time within the Borough, with occasional visits to the County
as circumstances demanded.
It was found possible to carry our dental inspection in all the
schools of the Borough during the year, and complete the treatment
of all children who accepted.
