DAMAGE TO PREMISES.
After Park House Health Centre was damaged by enemy
action on 15th October, all school medical service clinics serving
that area were transferred to premises in Cathall Road Public
Baths.
On 5th December enemy action was responsible for the
destruction of that part of Knotts Green Special School containing
the medical inspection room, orthopaedic clinic and artificial
sunlight clinic ; and all the current medical records relating to
physically and mentally defective children were destroyed.

Of 1,780 children who were examined in the code age-groups,
1,453 (or over 81 per cent.) were accompanied by their parents.
B.—Other Inspections.
Special Inspections.
The number of special inspections during the year was 2,657
comparing with 5,108 during the previous year.
Re-inspections.
The number of re-inspections during 1940 was 3,112.
