are made. In view of the national emergency the Registrar General
has not been able to supply the official figures for the current year,
and in consequence the customary annual section dealing with
vital statistics has been omitted in this report. It is hoped to
incorporate the information in future reports.
It is my privilege to acknowledge the support accorded to
me by the Chairmen and Members of the Committees concerned
with the work of the Health Department, and I have been gratified
by the loyal co-operation and industry of the members of my Staff
in surmounting the many difficulties which have arisen during the
year.
