STATEMENT, required by Article V. of the Housing
(Inspection of District) Regulations, 1910, in regard to
the inspection of dwelling-houses under Section 17 (1) of
the Housing, Town Planning, &c., Act, 1909.
Number of dwelling-houses inspected under
and for the purposes of the section 498
Number of such dwelling-houses which were
considered to be in a state so dangerous or
injurious to health as to be unfit for human
habitation 51
Number of dwelling-houses in respect of
which representations were made to the
local authority with a view to the making

exist in the dwelling-houses inspected . Leaking drains; broken ventilating
pipes; w.c. flushing
cisterns and pipes out of order;
cracked and broken w.c. pans;
broken, cracked and porous
scullery sinks and waste pipes;
leaking roofs; absence of, or
broken paving around houses;
holes in plaster of ceilings and
walls; damp walls; want of
ventilation under ground floors;
general uncleanly conditions.

The Medical Officer of Health received applications in respect
of 2 tenements.
As formerly, insistence on the provision of suitable storage
for food was made a condition for the granting of certificates.
