TUBERCULOSIS.
140 deaths occurred from all forms of Tuberculosis, representing
a death-rate of 1.1 per 1,000 of the population. The
corresponding figures for Pulmonary Tuberculosis were 110 and
.9.
Notifications of 266 cases of Pulmonary Tuberculosis and 62
of other forms of Tuberculosis were received during the year.
These cases were attended to by the Tuberculosis Officer or
his staff and verbal and written instructions given as to the
necessary precautions to be taken to prevent the spread of the
disease.
Dr. Sorley now attends at the Tuberculosis Dispensary, 180,
, High Road, Leyton:—
Mondays 2.0—4.0 p.m.
Thursdays 10.0a.m. tol2.0p.m.
Thursdays 6.0—8.0 p.m.
Fridays 2.0—4.0 p.m.
Close co-operation is maintained between the Tuberculosis
Officer, who is appointed by the Essex County Council, and the
Medical Officer of Health. The arrangements as set forth in the
report' of the year 1913 have been continued.
