In the case of children found to be in need of treatment the
defect was pointed out to the parent if present, or a note was sent
home advising that treatment should be sought; in addition, the
particulars were entered on a special "following up" card which
was available for use at the next visit of the doctor to the School,
when further notes were added, and the information thus obtained
has been embodied in the table headed "Treatment of Defects of
Children during 1915."
Dental Inspection is carried out by the Dentist in the Schools
and consists in the inspection of the teeth of all children who are
six years of age.
