Dr. Pitt has been appointed by the Leyton Council Assistant
Medical Officer of Health for Tuberculosis purposes at a nominal
salary of ten guineas per annum. In this capacity he visits
patients as well as in his capacity of Tuberculosis Officer. Thus
unnecessary visiting by the Medical Officer of Health, as well as by
the Tuberculosis Officer, is avoided.
The Medical Officer of Health transmits a list of the notifications
he has received every Monday morning to the Tuberculosis
Officer, who visits or causes the cases to be visited.
Notifications of cases of Phthisis and other forms of Tuberculosis have been received from the Institutions set forth on the opposite page.
