Ruckholt Road School.
H.M. Inspector having reported—
(a) That some lower desks are required for the use of the
younger children in the Girls' Department;
(b) That in the Infants' Department there is much
sary dull glass, which makes the rooms less bright than
they otherwise would be, and at the same time necessitates
the frequent use of artificial light ;
It was resolved to rearrange the desks, and if necessary transfer
some smaller desks from other schools. With regard to the dull
glass, the Architect was instructed to replace this with clear glass
as the panes become broken.
St. Joseph's School (R.C.).
1. Gallery in Infants' Department removed, and small chairs
and folding tables supplied on a level floor.
2. Increased latrine accommodation provided.
3. Screen erected in the upper rooms to form a corridor,
which obviates the necessity of passing through the class rooms.
Sybourn Street School.
1. Thirty dual desks provided.
2. Trees planted in playground.
3. The gravel in playground being worn into holes, six loads
of hoggin have been supplied for the purpose of levelling it. It is
proposed to tar pave this playground next year.
Trumpington Road School.
Tar paving repaired.
