Swimming Pools.
15 samples were taken during the year and have been uniformly
satisfactory.
Paddling Pools.
15 samples were taken from the Council's 5 paddling pools during
the months of May. June, July and August. The samples were in general
satisfatoory.
Disinfection and Disinfestation.
No change in our arrangements has taken place during the year.
Rodent Control.
During the year the Rodent Operative paid some 401 visits to deal
with infestations. 1,502 routine or revisits were also paid.
The premises visited initially comprised 313 dwellings and 88 business
premises or factories.
Attendance at meetings of No. 3 Essex Workable Area Committee
is normally made by the Chief Public Health Inspector so that a wider
picture of County progress and procedure is available.
Establishments for Massage or Special Treatment.
The Essex County Council granted licences to 11 persons during
the year authorising them to carry on establishments for massage or
special treatment.
20 visits were made to the premises.
