Condensed milk alleged to have caused diarrhoea.Submitted to Oldchurch Pathological Laboratory. No pathogenic organisms isolated. No further action taken.
Pork pie affected with mould.Manufacturer informed but no further action possible in view of time lag between purchase of pie and receipt of complaint.
Veal and ham pie affected with fly maggot.Vendors informed but no further action taken in view of time lag between purchase of pie and receipt of complaint.

Some 100 notices were served as against 186 last year.
Essex County Council Act, 1952—Section 105.
Notification under Section 105 of the Essex County Council Act,
