Swimming Pool.
12 samples were taken and have been uniformly satisfactory.
Paddling Pools.
13 samples were taken from the Council's four paddling pools
during the months May/August. The samples were in general satisfactory.
Disinfestation and Disinfection.
No change in our arrangements has taken place within the last year.
Rodent Control.
During the year the Rodent Operative paid some 357 visits to deal
with infestations. 1,687 routine or re-visits were also made.
The premises visited comprised 296 dwellings and 61 business
premises or factories.
Attendance at meetings of No. 3 Essex Workable Area Committee
is normally made by the Chief Public Health Inspector so that a wider
picture of County progress and procedure is available.
Farm Work.
76 visits were made to farms by the Public Health Inspectors or
Rodent Operative. 4 infestations were found and cleared.
Establishments for Massage or Special Treatment.
The Essex County Council granted licences to 10 persons during
the year authorising them to carry on establishments for massage or
special treatment.
12 visits were made to these premises.
