Increasing use is being made of references by the Public Health
Committee to the Public Relations Committee of subjects of importance
and substantial press publicity has accrued through this channel.
The Council's Notice Boards which cover the district extensively
are used in a more phased fashion for propaganda subjects of particular
interest at particular times.
Liaison is maintained with the Local Health Authority on matters
having a common interest.
Laboratory Facilities.
Our arrangements follow the existing lines and include primarily
the utilisation of Oldchurch Hospital laboratory (by kind assistance of
Dr. Atkinson) with reference to essential specialised investigations always
available through the Central Public Health laboratory at Colindale.
In the routine examination of milk, water, etc., the Essex County
Council's scheme is utilised. It should be said that this scheme is in
fact operated very flexibly by the County Council and does undoubtedly
provide a service of real assistance to a District Council.

The arrangements remain the same as last year.
