3. Ambulance Facilities.
(i) The Council have purchased at a cost of £648 a 17.9 h.p.
Talbot six-cylinder motor ambulance, which is kept at the Fire
Station, Billet Lane, Hornchurch, and has been in use since the
25th October, 1935.
From that date until the 31st December, 1935, 66 calls were received and a total of 841 miles was run.

Origin of calls.
Of the total calls 23 were made by the police, 5 by the employers
of the injured person, 3 by unknown persons, and in nearly
all the remainder by a relative of the patient.
