Langtons,
Billet Lane,
Hornchurch,
29th May, 1933.
To the Chairman and Members of the Hornchurch
Urban District Council
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present herewith my Annual Report for
the year 1932, being the seventh report since the constitution of the
District.
The two outstanding features of the year have been the
enquiry by the Ministry of Health into the County proposals for the
extension of this District by the inclusion of neighbouring areas, and
the scheme adopted by the Council and submitted to the Ministry
of Health for a new Outfall Works in the Southern part of the
District. Both of these questions are still under consideration.
The continued rapid development has brought a considerable
number of new inhabitants into the District.
Examination of the figures in the following report will show
that the District is a healthy one for residential purposes and that
the Public Health remains satisfactory.
ALFRED BALL, m.d., d.p.h.,
Medical Officer of Health.
