(2) One Sanitary Inspector, whole-time, who is also
Food Inspector. His qualifications are:—M.S.I.A., and
Certificates held from the Royal Sanitary Institute as
Inspector of Nuisances and Inspector of Meat and other
Foods, and the Advanced Building Certificate from the
Board of Education.
The Middlesex County Council make a grant

Professional Nursing in the Home.
No arrangements have been made for professional
nursing in the home, either by your Council or the
County Council, but in each of the parishes there is a
Nursing Association which provides a District Nurse,
who attends all cases of ordinary sickness, and maternity
cases, but not cases of an infectious nature. These latter
are removed to the Isolation Hospital, except when satisfactory
home nursing arrangements can be made.
Midwives.
No midwives are subsidized or employed by this
Council. There are 4 Midwives practising in the district.
Chemical Work.
The chemical work in this district is administered by
the County Council under the Foods and Drugs Act.
Occasionally we take samples of milk and water when
requested, and in that case the work is done by the
Clinical Research Society.
