(c) Tonsils and Adenoids.
136 cases were referred for treatment, 82 were
operated on at the Cottage Hospital and 35 elsewhere
while 2 received other forms of treatment.
The arrangement with the Cottage Hospital continued to work satisfactorily and the results of the operations were good. The following shows the amounts paid in fees to the Hospital and recovered from the parents :—

* In 2 other cases the fees were paid direct to the
Hospital by the parents.
(d) Tuberculosis.
1 case of Tubercular glands of the neck was referred
for treatment. It was treated and improved.
2 bone and joint cases were treated, 1 improved and
I cured.
1 case was suspected to have Pulmonary Tuberculosis.
The diagnosis was confirmed and the case improved
under treatment.
(e) Skin Diseases.
(1) Ringworm.
There were 21 cases of Ringworm of the head, and
11 cases of Ringworm of the body.
21 of these cases received treatment at the clinic
and the remainder privately. There were 13 cases
still under treatment at the end of the year.
