POPULATION.
Population 49,947
Population, excluding Institutions 49,543
The estimated population given is to the middle of June,
1915.
The population, excluding Institutions, is derived after
deducting persons in the Workhouse and Central London
Sick Asylum admitted into these institutions from outside
districts.
In estimating the population of the district to June,
1916, I find there has been a large increase in its growth.
Five hundred and one new houses have become occupied
during this 12 months' period, giving an increase of 2,180
persons.
The majority of the new houses were erected in Golderr
Green and Child's Hill. Taking the average number of
persons per house for each separate district, as shewn in the
population table, my estimated population of 49,54 3 persons
is derived.
