ANNUAL REPORT
FOR
1915.
TO THE CHAIRMAN AND MEMBERS OF THE
URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL OF HENDON.
Ladies and Gentlemen,—
I have the honour of presenting to you my 26th Annual
Report, upon the healthiness and sanitary condition of the
District for the year ending 1915.
The sanitary tables and vital statistics included therein,
and the matters specially reported upon, are in accordance
with the requirements of the Local Government Board, etc.
Owing to the depletion of staffs in Public Health Departments,
and with a view to economising the cost of printing,
etc., the Local Government Board has permitted Annual
Reports to be condensed into as few pages as possible.
This I have endeavoured to do, but have carefully retained
all the tables, and tabulated statistics, in order that
these important continuous records be maintained.
I have based, as in previous years, my estimated popular
tion to the middle of June, upon the number of new houses
erected and occupied, taking the average number of persons
per house, as shewn at the last Census.
