An area which includes 108 of the older type properties
which are lacking in one or more of the standard amenities was
declared an improvement area for the purpose of Part II of the
Housing Act, 1964.
Moveable Dwellings.
To avoid involving both the Health and Safety Committee
and the Town Planning Committee in this Matter and as planning
consent is an essential preliminary to a site licence the
enforcement of the Caravan Sites and Control of Development
Act, 1960, has been entrusted to the Town Planning Committee.
Consultation between the Engineer and Surveyor's Department and
the Public Health Department takes place on applications for
Site Licences.
