proposed smoke control areas.
A Clean Air Display loaned from the Central Council for
Health Education was exhibited at the three branch libraries in
the district for a total period of one month.
(k) Co-ordinating Committee.
The Committee met three times during the year. A useful
interchange of ideas and experience took place and fully justified
the formation of the Committee. The original members,
Ealing, Feltham and Hayes & Harlington were joined by representation,
at officer level, from Heston & Isleworth and Southall,
The five authorities now represented on the Committee have a
total population of nearly 500,000.
