These figures show an increase of 8 respiratory cases on
the previous year (25 against 17) and a decrease of two nonrespiratory
cases.
Although there is a slight increase this year there has been
progressive decline in the number of cases notified in the last
decade and it must be assumed that the programme of B.C.G.
vaccination is now showing its worth.
Mass Radiography
During the year M.R.U. 6B provided chest X-ray facilities
for the Borough by holding a regular session at the Health &
Welfare Department in Billet Lane, Hornchurch, every Monday
from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
