Included amongst those removed from the Register were 12
persons admitted to the Blind Register, and 1 who was decertified
due to improved visual acuity. 46 of the 125 persons on the
Register were near or prospectively blind. 7 of these were in
employment, and the remaining 39 were not available for, or
incapable of work, all 39 being over 65 years of age. Details
of the other 79 persons on the register who were mainly industrially
handicapped, requiring observation only, or under the age of
16 years are as follows:—
