Bacteriological sampling of other food products was carried out in respect of the following commodities:—

The 105 samples of cooked and raw meat products consisted of the following:—
Meat Pies | 14 |

Three meat product samples were not entirely satisfactory
and the necessary action was taken to obtain the required
improvement.
* The six complete meals prepared, cooked and served
at the central kitchen for the Welfare Services, and comprised
of a total of 33 items of meat, vegetables, sauces and sweet
courses. In two instances the meat was found to be not entirely
satisfactory and appropriate remedial measures were taken.
The following 240 samples were taken during the year and submitted for bacteriological examinations with the results shown:—
