Small,-pox.
No cases occurred.
During the year I received 7 notifications of coDtact
persons. Five of these related to workmen engaged in
building new Post Office premises in Islington. They
were visited over a period of 11 days, but no case developed.
The remaining 2 notifications were received from the
Southampton Port Authority respecting travellers.
scarlet fever.
18 cases were notified as compared with 16 in 1910
and 27 in 1909. These cases were removed to Hospital.
Enteric Fever.
Two cases were notified, neither case was removed to
Hospital. There was no death.
Puerperal Fever.
There were 2 cases, neither being attended by midwile.
Erysipelas.
There were 11 cases, 5 of which occurred in the Asylum.
Measles.
This disease has been present to a slight extent only.
There were a few cases at St. Paul's Schools during June,
but I did not consider it necessary to take any steps with
a view to closing any department of the schools, after
careful consideration of the number of cases, and the proportion
of children who had already had the disease, &c., &c.
