Zymotic Death Rate.
The Zymotic death rate, or death rate from chief infectious
diseases was equal to a rate of 1.5 per 1,000 of the population for
the year 1896.
The chief Zymotic Diseases are Small-Pox, Measles, Diarrhoea,
Typhoid Fever, Pyœmia, Puerperal Fever, Erysipelas, Scarlet
Fever, Whooping Cough, Diphtheria. The number of deaths from
Zymotic Diseases was 13—Measles, 3; Diphtheria, 4; Whooping
Cough, 4; Diarrhœa, 2.
The Zymotic death rate in previous years was:—
