OF THE
SANITARY INSPECTOR
For the Year 1905
To the Chairman and Members of the Finchley Urban
District Council.
Gentlemen,
I beg to submit, for your consideration, my fourth Annual
Report, in which is recorded the work dome during the year
1905 in connecton with the various branches of sanitation
coming under my supervision.
During the past twelve months the inspection of the
District has been systematically carried out, careful attention
being given to all sanitary conditions bearing on the health
and comfort of the inhabitants. House inspection, supervision
and testing of drainage work, inspection of workshops, bakehouses,
restaurants slaughter-houses, butchers', fruiterers', and
fishmongers' shops, dairies, cowsheds, and milkshops, have
each and all occupied the time of your inspectors, and whereever
insanitary conditions were found to exist, or where food
was found to be unsound, or stored in such a manner as to
endanger its wholesomeness, such action as was necessary was
promptly taken.
