under Section 13(8) of the Food and Drugs Act, 1955. This
Code is for the purpose of giving advice and guidance to
persons in the poultry packing trade and who are responsible
for compliance with the Food Hygiene (General) Regulations
1960. The Code has no statutory force, its object being to
enable the trade and the Local Authority to recognise the
underlying problem and to work out the particular solution
required by the local circumstances.
(c) All the 34 public houses in the Borough have been
inspected, resulting from which many sanitary and other
improvements have been carried out, and where necessary,
recommendations have been made with a view to improving
service of food.
