D(17) Housing (Financial Provision) Act, 1958
Breaches of mortgage conditions.
Resulting from breaches of mortgage conditions, a meeting
was convened with the residents concerned on 21st March
when all relevant aspects were explored with a view to achieving
conformity with the necessary requirements. The Chief
Public Health Inspector outlined the basic principals of good
sanitary circumstances.
In the main certain Commonwealth families residing in
the Borough tend to live in colonies thus insulating themselves
from other people. Local institutions, traditions and
ideals do not appear, as yet, to have touched their personal
lives and reality to any appreciable extent, though it is becoming
abundantly obvious that education is having a favourable
and integrating influence on their children who attend
the local schools.
