Crown Property at Woolwich Arsenal. Crossness, Bungalows
Nos. 43-76.
These 34 stone fabric bungalows of 1916 vintage, and
occupied by Ministry of Supply security personnel, were all
subject to informal housing action during the year, resulting
from which all except one of the families were rehoused.
At the end of the year, many of the bungalows had been
demolished, and it is expected that the whole site will be
cleared by 1959.
Corporation Property. Nissen Huts at Nissen Way and
Appian (Way.
By the end of the year, 32 huts at Nissen Way, and 29
huts at Appian Way had been demolished subsequent to
the rehousing of the 61 families.
It is anticipated that the available sites will be utilised
for building traditional properties.
