though 2 sites exist which are subject to licensing by the Local
Authority.

D (5)m Mosquito Control
Having regard to the extensive flooding of marsh land
in February special precautionary measures were taken to
preclude any possibility of nuisance during the summer months.
In this regard the many water courses in the Belvedere Marsh
area were treated with an approved larvicide, and this was
wholly successful.
D (5)n Rodent Control
Two operatives are employed on rodent control in accordance
with the provisions of circular N.S. 19, and during the
year Corporation sewers were effectively treated for sewer rats
when 310 manholes were baited. As in previous years, each
complaint of rodents in private or industrial premises was
investigated, and an appropriate charge made for destruction.
