Improvement Act 1920. Disposal is effected by barging under
contract, and these arrangements are still working very satisfactorily.
During the year two new Scammell lorries were
purchased at a cost of £1,113 lis. 0d., and have subsequently'
been put into service. Thus part of the suggestions outlined
in the five year plan, under this heading which is issued as a
supplement to this report, has been implemented. These
vehicles are fitted with special bodies which enable them to have
easier access to the narrow approaches which are peculiar to a
large number of the rear portions of the houses in this district.
