A(6). Infant Mortality.
30 infants died before reaching one year of age, giving an
infant mortality of 58.82. The comparable figure for the whole
country is 59.
The fact that this figure would be high, was forecast in
the early part of the year, when we were experiencing an
excessive prevalence of infectious disease.
