MASS RADIOGRAPHY
Reference was made in my Annual Report last year to the
fact that another Mass X-Ray Campaign was carried out yi Enfield
by the North-East Metropolitan Regional Hospital Board and the
mobile unit operated at Halls and Factories throughout the District
from the 9th October, 1952 well into 1953, and 17,766 persons were
examined.
The usefulness of the work undertaken by the Unit and the
encouraging response by Enfield residents is shewn by the figures
in the accompanying table.
I feel I cannot let this opportunity pass without paying a
tribute to Dr. Hugh Ramsay and his staff for the efficient manner
in which the Survey was carried out.
