The net death-rate for the District is 9 80 per 1,000 population.
Two hundred and seventy-five deaths registered in the District
were perscns over 80 years of age, 132 being males and 143
females, one man dying at the advanced age of 96, three women
at the same age, and three other women at the ages of 97, 98 and
100 respectively.
The following tables give the causes of deaths at all ages and
of children under the age of 1 year:—
